After 5 days of positive pregnancy tests last week, I started bleeding this past Sunday. I went to the doctor who confirmed very low HCG levels and a chemical pregnancy. They did an ultrasound and all was clear. I go back for blood work on Friday to make sure my levels go below zero. Today is day five and I still have some light bleeding which I was expecting. I had very bad cramps on Monday but I’m still having some discomfort in my abdominal area. Sometimes it feels twingy, sometimes like pulling and sometimes a burning feeling. Has anyone else experienced this after a CP? I’m hoping it’s just my body working itself out. At this point I just want to move forward and I hate having my body not feel like itself. I’m curious if anyone else had a similar experience?

Ali-oop: hey, i had a similar experience with a CP. first of all the pain when i started bleeding was the worst cramping i ever felt in my life. afterward, the bleeding got progressively lighter for 5 days before stopping completely. for a good 10 days after the bleeding started however, i felt weird. weak, lightheaded and contraction-like pain (not painful but contracting nonetheless, if that makes sense). i was generally uncomfortable for almost 2 weeks. give it time and it should sort itself out!

I also had something similar. I was at 5 weeks when I started bleeding terribly. It last about 6 days and got lighter and lighter. I had awful cramps and discomfort. I dont get AF cramps, so it was barely bearable for me. Eventually everything got lighter like a normal AF. I was totally uncomfortable for a week though.

Same here…had pretty severe back pain and some twinges after the bleeding stopped from my CP. Almost considered going to the ER to make sure it wasn’t ectopic, but all was good.
