I've taken Tylenol PM twice since getting pregnant for migraines. I saw it on enough "safe" lists that I felt okay taking it. I read to stay far away from ibuprofen.
I've had to take Tylenol a few times for migraines also. Usually Tylenol doesn't touch my headaches, but fortunately it has worked well during pregnancy- thank goodness!
@lemondrop: Yeah, that was a wonderful surprise for me, too. Pre-pregnancy, taking Tylenol with a migraine would just make me throw up...but it's worked like a charm.
Tylenol is safe, but if that doesn't work, go to the ER. They can give you pain medications that are safe for the baby via the IV. I had to do that my 5th week and they sent me home with Vicodin in case the pain came back.
Yeah Tylenol is ok occasionally. It NEVER works when I'm not pregnant though, which is weird!
Tylenol is okay during pregnany. If things get bad call your OB because in a hairy situation prescription pain meds are okay-ed. Feel better!
I've taken tylenol a few times at the urging of my doctor who said it really is totally fine to take when in pain or if you have a headache, etc. I also just recently had to take tylenol cold a few times.
Tylenol is fine but you also may want to try a little caffeine. Still within the limits but totally helps my headaches while pregnant (and doctor-suggested).
@candicemcc: For bad headaches, I usually do a Tylenol WITH caffeine.
Since both are okay in moderation, and I need both to kill some of my headaches, I just put them together. And Tylenol is pretty much the only thing my OB okayed.
Like everyone else said, Tylenol is safe although it never worked for me before being preggo (I'm an ibuprophen girl). I have also taken Tylenol PM a few times, as advised by my doc, to help me fall and stay asleep all night. I know they say Unisom is ok for that but it made me leery
I took Tyl and agree with everyone that it didn't do much to help. It was hard to give up my beloved Excedrine for 9 months!
I have major pregnancy headaches, and take tylenol for them. They kind of help but I swear if I eat chocolate it takes my headache away. I know that is not good, but it works for me lol
I'm with the others...tylenol and a nice cup of hot tea usually does the trick for me.
I know thiS is a few days ago but try to have some water. There are a lot of occasions where head aches are cause by dehydration so a big ol' glass of water could really help :)

did anyone take any pain meds while pregnant? I have a KILLER headache, took a nap and that only made it worse. I ate, that didn't help. put heat pad on my shoulders/neck and that didn't do anything either.
I have read that tylenol/acetaminophen is ok for pregnant but not sure... anyone else ever taken it?
