I just got word this morning that i will finally be getting a chandelier for my staircase. (yipee) BUT i am stuck on what color to re-do it.
Any thoughts on what color to paint it? I will be taking it all apart & then doing what i did to our other one. (see attatched photos) I want to stay away from blue’s to its not matchy, matchy with our other chandelier. Just not sure what color to do since you’ll see it from our living room.
If anyone feels like lending an oppinion i am all ears.
NEW chandelier that will be re-vamped & needing a color choice:
My other chandelier Pre – post makeover. 🙂 -yay teal!!-
for reference, the ‘cut’ outs in our living room to the left of the guitars thats where you’ll see the new chandelier hanging down slightly. So you’ll be able to see it from our living space. & as you can see when sitting in my living room you’ll be able to see both of them. :0)

I wouldn’t paint it! It’s fine as is.

@Pinkmoon: +1 because my next suggestion was teal to match your curtains, but you said you didn’t want to do that.
Otherwise maybe black? I don’t know how that would look, but it would seem to go well with all the other colors in your living room.

@MrsHoneyC: I wouldn’t paint it, but if you really want to.. Gold! Sparkly gold!

I would say black or white. I love the way the teal turned out, that’s gorgeous.

@Pinkmoon: +1 in the do not paint it camp. But if you do, my vote would be white.

Mint green/Tiffany blue/Robbins egg – not matchy matchy at all but very color complimentary.

@MrsHoneyC: oooh I love the teal!
I think a plum would look pretty awesome!
Maybe even a bright green to compliment the teal curtains?

I vote for a dark red, plum, or black. If you’re going to put the new chandelier where the guitars are you could get sort of rock and roll vibe with those colors I think. Show pics when you’re done with it please!

Thanks for all the ideas ladies! 🙂 I will be sure to update what i choose. At this point in time i ‘think’ i am leaning towards an eggplant purple. Kinda like so… Leaving the glass just clear & painting everything that looks silver, so it will be a pretty subtle effect. I appreciate everyone’s offerings of color choices, you guys rock!

@MrsHoneyC: Just gotta say that this is a great idea! I LOVE the first one you did. What an amazing update! I’m all for painting it, and I have been loving the pantone colors of the year the past couple of years, especially Mimosa! Love the eggplant you posted too. Go on with your bad paintin’ self! Bravo!
