Did you sand over those annoying little fishies and scrape the ceiling first? We just redid one of our  bathrooms. It was REALLY small, painted a grimy white with grey tiles and a brown vanity. It had a tiny bay window that was so termite eaten that it was practically falling off the house. We had the window replaced (professionally) and then painted the bathroom, painted the vanity, replaced the vanity top and plumbing, new fixtures, and hung a new window shade. Sanding the walls and vanity were probably the most annoying things EVER, followed closely by plumbing the new vanity top. The vanity was originally made in the 80s, so we had a really hard time finding a top that would fit, and then altering the plumbing to make it work.

ETA: Sorry the photo is so huge, it insists on being massive despite resizing.

I feel your pain…I have been trying to paint my dining room for a month now! We had to take off wallpaper, which mucked up the drywall. Eventually we got a palm sander which works great but makes a lot of dust. Can’t wait to be done!
