We are getting married in the south in September. It will be almost fall, but the weather will probably still be very warm. The grass should still be green, and only a few trees will have started changing colors.
I am so conflicted on my color palette and theme. The one thing I know about my wedding is that I want to include aqua. I know aqua is not a traditional color for a late summer/early fall wedding.
Right now, I am thinking of using pale aqua, golden brown, ivory, and a few pops of a crimson red.
What do you think? Even though September will still be warm, some people I have talked with have suggested going for more of a traditional fall-like wedding. I love traditional fall weddings, but I also love aqua. Being indecisive doesn’t help with wedding planning!

If it’s early to mid- Sept. I say it would be a nice color. Even if it was later I think that you should go with whatever colors you love.

I say go for what you want and September is still technically summer

We’re getting married in september and doing pale blue and red. I don’t think there’s any rule that says you have to use “fall” colors only for a Sept wedding! As long as it works with your venue, I think your color palette will look beautiful.

Thanks everyone. It took posting this on here for me to realize that these colors aren’t really “us”.
I’ve always loved aqua. I’ve also always loved black and white together. So, why not combine all three? There’s no rule that says black is too formal for an outdoor, late summer wedding, right? 🙂
And @GirlWithARing, I love your avatar pic. If that’s the pale blue and red you are using, it will be so pretty!

Mrs. Cookie had aqua accents with red and orange for her September wedding, which I loved!
i think you can definitely pull it off!

Definitely use whatever colours you love! I don’t really buy into “seasonal” colours – just finding a colour palette that works for you. And I think your new colour scheme sounds fantastic!

I don’t think you should pay any attention to “seasonal” colors – do whatever you want! I’m getting married in the winter, and our colors are bright yellow and gray. Much more spring-ish than winter, but who cares?!

I’m going with Brown and Tiffany Blue and i am end of Septmenber

i think it should be more about what you want and not about what colors people think are “seasonal.” if you like aqua, then go with aqua. 🙂
