Personally I would do a softer color for lips. I think the red lipstick would overpower...

RD-3 or RS-2 would really pop with your red hair. When you're already doing a lot, less is more.
I think this girl looks beautiful with red hair and red lips- and still looks soft and romantic. I say look how YOU feel best on your wedding day- your opinion is really the only one that matters.
I am a red head with pale skin also. I would go with a more natural lip, or even a coral, but not red. I have not seen it photograph very well and there are very few that can really pull it off well. BUT, you might be one of those gals. Without seeing you, I would say no, go natural.
@Idealistic_hippy28: I say if you wear it all the time then go for it. Your wedding day look should look like you (but all dressed up). If you always wear it, and you wear "soft" makeup, will you look back on pictures and wonder why you decided to look different on your wedding day?
You all make such good points... Perhaps I'll investigate a soft colour that still makes a feature of my lips as a compromise so I still feel like me but it's not too stark... Can't tell you how much I appreciate your kindness, insights and sharing, thank you!!!
P.s. a soft lipstick with a reddish tone or tint- thanks do much again!!!!
@Idealistic_hippy28: I think red lips would be sooo vavavoom and I totally would do it.. Personally! Maybe have a few dress up days on days off to see how you like the look of having the reeeed lips with your hair. That's what I'm doing because I can't decide!
I like drama though. I think it would make you pop in a soft wedding. Here are some pics I found that I like... I just googled red heads with red lips, check it out and see if you like the look.
Oh, I LOVE a red lip! I think you should go for it! Just try a lot of shades and find one that works for you. I'm loving "dare you" by mac right now. It's the perfect red and looks good on everyone.

I am also a paler red head...I am going with a vintage vibe as well but have been convinced out of a red lip, and into more of a coralypink. Kind of like a darker version of Nars' Niagara. Still bright but not va-va-voom RED. (I would love to rock the MAC Russian Red! That being said, if it's a look you go with everyday, I say do it!!

I love red hair and a red lip! I'm a pale red head ALSO lol but I dont do red lips. Just can't. But I love it everyone else that I see :) I guess I just cant see myself that way. I think it would look beautiful especially for a wedding. You will stand out, as you should, you are the star of the show!

Hello beautiful brides and wedding bees!
I would really value your opinion please. I have very pale creamy skin, gray blue eyes and very long bright red hair (think conker colour with bright red bits). I've had a dress made in ivory which has a lot of details, lace around the bottom, crystals and flower appliqué. There's also straps with the same flowers and beading; sounds a bit ott but it's a lot more ethereal than I've probably made if sound! I love bright red lipstick and feel beautiful and sexy in it, so had always figured I would wear it on my big day and rock a bit of a retro look. However I've now been told by someone it would be vulgar, too harsh and brash and I'm better keeping it soft and natural, especially with a dress that has a lot going on!
Now I'm at a bit of a loss :( feeling sad about it but don't want to look bad in my big day.
Wedding colours are lilac and green, we want everything to be a celebration of springtime if that makes any difference so bridesmaid is lilac, groomsmen soft grey suits, flowers are cream roseswith ivy and lilac freesias...Everything else is 'soft'.
What would you suggest my darlings?
