Palm Springs is freakin’ hot in the fall. I just drove through it on Monday and it was 98. I guess hot could be subjective to some people but if you’re having it outside my opinion is you’d most likely melt. January/Feb is closer to a tolerable range.

ITA about Jan/Feb.  I live here full time & it is too hot in Oct & most of Nov.  Dec is dicey.  Believe it or not, it can also get very humid here.

Are you planning an outdoor wedding?

Oh wow, i was planning for 11/12/2016 in Palm Springs. It is going to be at the Airplane Museum or one of the Estates out there.  I didn’t even think it would still be so warm out there, but would it be better for the guest and my Fi and I since it is outdoors??? or Would everyone be miserable. Thank you in advance for any comments.

Samshoney:

We had a cool spell last week–it was in the 70’s.  It’s most likely going to be in the mid to upper 80’s on your day.  If your guests are outside in full sun, they will be miserable.

What time of day is your wedding?  The sun goes down early now, so it cools down earlier.

If you’re going to be indoors, you should be fine.

Just remember our desert sun is really intense, no matter what the season.

By 5 pm, you’ll be fine as far as the heat goes.  It may even get chilly enough for sweaters.  By late at night, it could be in the 50’s.  You may want to rent those heaters you see on restaurant patios, if you do a tent.

I know, our weather is nuts.

I’ve been to events at the Air Museum, people do like looking at the planes.  What is your theme?

sassy411:   I am not really sure what it would be called, I was told it is like The Great Gatsby Theme. So I think the airport museum would be really fitting.

I checked the temp at 5 pm today, it was 70.  It drops quickly at night from there.  Hope that helps your planning.

Most of the planes at the Air Museum are WWII vintage, though I’m sure some are older.  I’ll check with dh–he’s the aviation expert.
