@jdhall89:  I really love the straps on you. You have a small frame anyway, so I dont notice any flattening on the bust. I’m sure alterations can be done so you’re not being ‘squished’ if you are. I especially love what the dress and sash does at your waist/hips. It gives you a really nice shape IMO 🙂

I like it on you – it’s beautiful but I think it may need some changes to be perfect?.  I don’t think the shape of the straps are flattering on you – you have a lovely shape and great arms/shoulders and the straps are swamping you and your decolletage.

Also – does it need taking in under the waist?

you can put straps on any dress. I think you could do better than this dress. What street size are you? I am a size 0-2 and found tons of dresses that looked great. I just thinks this dress is blahhh at best

What was important to you in a dress apart from straps?

Mine was that there was some good cleavage without looking tacky, straps, and making sure the smallest part of me – my waist- was shown off.

@slydon:  I disagree with the idea that you can put straps on any dress.  Theoretically you can, but some dresses look terrible with straps.

(/was bamboozled into buying a strapless dress thinking that straps could be added later, but it looks awful with straps).

That said, OP, I agree that you can do better.  Especially if you want a poufier dress.

@jdhall89:  I think this is a beautiful dress, but I agree with those that say you could probably find something that flatters your figure more. Keep this one in mind, but keep looking!
