First of here is my chart link
So I have had a huuuuge fear of infertility for about 18 months now. No reason to think that, super regular cycles and lots of fertility signs – however the fear is still here. charting and OPKs were supposed to help me feel reassured till we start ttc in Sept. Last month was great. FF said ovulation happened on cd15 and 14 days later AF arrived. This month Iwas sure I Od yesterday (+ opk, ewcm and ov pain) but this morning my temp spike was only .2 degrees and I have ben in awhirlwind ever since. I have convinced myself there is something wrong with me and iam terrified!
I have a dr appt tomorrow because I have been getting midcycle spotting. The nurse who did m (pap) smear said ovulation spotting happens a lot. My spotting always happens on my ‘fertile’ days but I just need to hear again that everything is OK.
I feel like I am driving myself crazy!! Please dontt think I am a maniac..but I have convinced myself I have a woman’s sixth sense kinda thing and all my infertility fears are justified. I have no one else I can talk to except the bees on here. Thanks for listening 🙁

@Lillyrose: I see that a lot, temp shift is short one day after O and then spikes the second day. I couldn’t see your chart from the link, but don’t panic yet. If you have had regular cycles up to this point and just started charting and confirmed O last cycle I’m sure things are fine. It takes a few months of charting to start to see patterns in your cycle. The fact that cycle one was such a success is a good start.

I’m not really sure why you are panicking? Is it just because you haven’t gotten your crosshairs on FF yet? Nothings coming up when I click on your chart link. I think CH usually come up when you have three elevated temps so why don’t you plug in some fake temps for the next cuople of days and see if it gives you CH? As for the spotting, ovulation spotting is definitely something that can happen and if the nurse is telling you it’s normal, then it’s not something to worry about!

@Lillyrose: Plus a +Opk doesn’t mean you O’d that day, it means you are going to o within the next day or two. You might be ovulating today. You’ll see the shift soon I’m sure.

Spotting around ovulation is a GREAT sign of fertility..that actually means you’re very fertile!
Don’t worry m’dear! I don’t think you have anything to stress over!

Sorry about the link not working, I was on my phone.
I’m panicking I guess, because I’m waiting for something to be wrong. I feel like I have no control over ttc related stuff. In work and daily life if I want something or need something I work hard or figure out a way to get it. With ttc I can’t do that. I know it’s irrational and completely ridiculous..I just can’t help it!!
I didn’t know you could enter false data for future dates. I just entered 36.3 (this AM temp) for tomorrow and Saturday and FF is saying I O’d on day15.
I feel really, really stupid posting stuff like this – but it’s nothing to how ridiculous I sound if I start talking about it in RL. FI is interested but doesn’t really understand what all the numbers and things mean. And he just has a ‘wait and see’ approach. I really, REALLY appreciate the ttc boards. The bees here are amazing! Thank you for your replies.

@Lillyrose: Being a control freak (speaking about myself) makes TTC impossibly hard. You have absolutely NO control over it. I totally understand how you’re feeling. I know it’s impossible, but you just have to try to relax about. Stress is going to do nothing but make it worse. It sounds like you are in great shape for TTC though!!

I think you’re fine! I understand your worries, but I think you’re worrying for nothing! In terms of TTC being completely out of your control….I think you could change the way you look at it. Taking pre-natals, eating healthfully, exercising, working on your relationship and having good sex, and tracking your cycles are all examples of “working at TTC.” I think you should pour your energy into these things instead of infertility fears. I hope I’m making sense. I don’t want to tell you to just “relax and stop worrying,” like it’s that easy, but to shift your focus elsewhere. Good luck!

OP, these ladies have very great advice. Don’t work yourself up into a stressball. If anything, it will do WAY more harm than good. Mid cycle spotting is a good thing. You sound pretty normal.

Thank you 🙂
My temp has risen again this morning – so just out of curiosity I put in the same temp for tomorrow morning and FF is saying CD15 for O. I feel a LOT calmer now. My Dr appointment is today..if I can just hear that everything is OK, I am just going to relax and see what happens. Thank you for all your help (again) bees!

I saw my dr this morning. He said the spotting isn’t anything to worry about as the smear test was completely normal and the nurse would have done an examination at the same time it was done. If the bleeding gets heavier, or lasts long, or I’m worried, then I have to go back and let them know, but for now, he said, keep doing what I’m doing. I am SO RELIEVED! Yay! 🙂
