ABSOLUTELY TMI...maybe! LOL!
How often do you keep your panties? I just bought the 7 for $25 from Victoria's Secret. I know that I need to throw some of my old ones away. I'm just not sure how long I should keep them. I know I'll throw away about 20 pair this weekend!

Honestly, I have so many ( I love crazy/sexy undies, especially the pink collection) that I really don't have to throw any out all that often. I'd say I keep them for about 1-2 years depending on how good of shape they're in.
And you know I have my special stash of what I like to call my "period panties". The only ones to be used during that time. TMI?

Um Yeah, I never throw mine away - husband can always tell when I'm at the bottom of drawer b/c I have some OLD ones that I still rock. He hates them, and heaven forbid they have the tinest hole he will rip them to shreads so that I am forced to throw away, lol :)
I really don't know... I have a zillion pairs so I can go months without wearing some of them. It has to be at least two years.

About every 2 years or when I feel like they don't look nice anymore. I too have lots of them so that takes a while!
It's probably at least two years for most of them. I don't really put a timeline to it though. If they start looking too grungy or start getting holes or something - into the trash they go!
@AnnieAAA: hahahaha this is VERY similar to me and my panties. Although, usually if they get TOO warn, I can let go of them without any intervention from FI! :)

@Mrs.tobe: Period panties ftw. Mine are the most hideous/boring underwear I own and would never wear at any other time of the month when I actually feel sexy.
I think it depends how often I wear them, my "nice" panties last 4ver because I wear them once in a while, Also my thongs last forever because I only wear them when I absolutely have to.. but my regular every day panties dont make it a year I dont like wearing them if get old and stretched out.. I buy cheap ones from walmart that come in a pack of 5 for around 6! So I replace them often

I wear them until they fall apart basically. And I definitely have period panties!! A little while ago I finally threw out this old pair I had since high school. (they were fancier and I didn't wear them very often) But before tossing them I put them on and freaked out my FI by telling him how old they were. Especially since he's 9 years my senior and it would have been very inappropriate for him to see me in those panties when I first bought them!!
I buy underwear constantly... and hardly ever throw them away. Seriously, I could go like 2 months without ever wearing the same ones. Maybe I'll go through them one of these days.

I'll wear them as long as they are in good shape. But almost all of them are from within the last few years, so I guess they wear out since I don't have any older than maybe 5 years.
@finnaroo: Oh yeah, THAT is why I don't have any panties older than 5 years. That is how long it has been since I moved out of my parents house and away from my childhood dog that eats underwear.

The more I think of it, the more I think I could probably find some undies I've had for longer than two years in the bottom of the drawer. But like I said... I have so freakin' many! lol
Most of mine end up tragically shred in the washer. I don't know how but it seems I have a skill like horseshoes to throw my favorite undies right around the turbine in the washer, causing them to rip when I go to take them out :( Needless to say, they don't last more than a year if they're lucky.
PS I just spent half an hour and $40 on VS and got some cute new skimpy undies. :)

Personally, I have several groups of undies: A-List (Date night/Bedroom); B-List (Work, Everyday); and C-List (That Time of The Month).
When they get to D-List, it's time to toss them!
lol i have a LOT. I generally just toss them any time they start to look old.
Once they are getting holes or the elastic is wearing. This is so bad but I literally have several pairs of undies from almost 10 years ago. I rarely wear them (only if I havent done laundry in a while) but I NEED To throw them away!!! DH bought me a VS gift card for Valentines Day so I need to go buy some new things and throw away the old ones!
I definitely have period panties haha. I have a full drawer stuffed full of underwear...and it's only when they're all holy and stretched that I throw them out. TMI? haha maybe. Lately I have been forcing myself to throw away a few pairs when I buy a few new pairs.
I've only thrown out a couple over the years. I even have some from high school that I still keep! I have date night panties, work panties then the ones I just wear at home/period time which are generally going out ones that are old/faded. I buy panties every month so I have ended up having enough that I could wear for months without having to wash. Plus I hand wash all mine so i think that makes them last longer.
i also have different catagory of panties--
"date night" as someone mentioned, are worn a handful of times a year, at best, and are in good condition.
"every day" ones are the cute cotton "pink" by vs ones and are replaced once a year-- then at that time i might throw out other ones that are worn out..
and then the infamous PERIOD PANTIES! haha. yeah, those are also pruned once a year as needed and other ones might be demoted. haha
i just get rid of them when i don't like them anymore. Depends on the quality I guess. I pretty much exclusively buy the boyshorts from American Apparel - just love them! I find they look really cute and are super comfy, especially for sports.

I work for VS, so I have an insane panty/bra collection. I could probably go at least 4-5 months without having to wear the same pair twice. I am constantly buying new panties, but I'm bad about tossing the old ones so mine stay around for a looong time.
@Donnica22: GASP!!! 7 for $25?!! I usually do the 5 for $25, but never heard of 7. how long does that last?
@PrncssDva: It was for about two weeks. They may do it again! It was great because they also had a coupon for $10 off any purchase. So I got 7 for $15!!!
I never really throw them away. I've had to start throwing some away because I would put them on and find tiny holes in the crotch... yes, my dog apparently loves to chew on my panties! But even then, I think, these can be my period panties and I'll just put a liner in :) I need to go through and throw them away I suppose, because I'm running out of space to keep them!
@kperry3: Yeah my drawer is over flowing! But I did throw away about 11 last week! :) YAYYYYYYYYYY! lol
