I am not sure how hot your summer is but I know in our summer there I no way I could handle wearing full stockings under my dress (I am getting married in winter and still probably won't wear them) however I think I will prob wear the footlet ones as they make the dressy shoes feel more comfy.
In the end I guess it depends on how warm you will be in your dress to what you choose to wear...
No way to nylons under my dress in the summer. My dress has enough layers, I don't want to throw panty hose into the mix and increase the sweat factor.
Can you break your shoes in wearing them around your house with socks on so they stretch out a bit?
I'm a spring bride, but I'm not wearing pantyhose. I personally hate pantyhose anyways and feel like a grandma whenever I try to wear them (usually end up in the bathroom trash can half way through the night). If your shoes are uncomfortable, there ae some great inserts for heels out there, even for peep toe or more sandal type shoes. But ultimately, it;s your wedding and you should wear whatever makes you comfortable.
Have you thought about looking for a minimalist version of the footsie that wouldn't show when you're wearing your shoes? Are you wearing pump style shoes? If that's not an option, or how about adding moleskin inserts in to your shoes where you feel you need some protection? My shoes always rub the back of my ankle and I get blisters, so I use those little inserts to avoid that.
You could powder your feet and have a BM keep some with her ro reapply during the evening.
I did wear hose at my first wedding, which was in June in Florida and I didn't think it was that hot even though my dress was heavy and all. I guess it depends on how much time you plan to spend outside.
Don't do it! Pantyhose are not great in summer at alll. If you get sweaty at all, it's going to be all stuck inside your pantyhose and be grossssss

Hi ladies:
When I tried on my shoes, I tried them on with those lil' pantyhose footsies and it fit smoothly. I've noticed that my feet get uncomfortable in the summer when it's hot out (or under a big dress) so I just realized that I'm not 100% what I want to do with my heels to make it most comfortable for me in general and for me to walk comfortable in my shoes.
Did you/Are you ladies wear/ing pantyhose under your dress for your wedding? Especially helpful would be your personal decision if you're getting married in the summer. Thanks in advance!
