When I had big paper (about this size I think...) I ended up cutting it myself at a Kinkos/FedEx. It was free to use their paper cutter, where as it would have cost like 75 cents per cut for them to cut it (and they had to cut each piece separately since it was so big). I would call places and ask if they can cut paper that big. When I used that size paper I got three pocketfolds per sheet of paper, so it was well worth my time. I almost wish I would have just used the self-cutter to trim it and had Kinkos use their multi-sheet cutter to cut the rest of it down to size. Their self-cutter was a little worse for the wear and some of my cuts came out a little crooked. I hope this was helpful. Feel free to PM me if you need any help because I have a feeling you are doing the same thing I did!
Kinkos can only cut up to 12 x 18 or something like that... you might need to call up a print shop in your area.
I bought a large Fiskars brand paper cutter from Office Max in May. It was about $100. I can't find it online now, but you could try calling them to see if they can order it for you.
I've had a some trouble cutting the paper in a straight line, but I plan on cleaning the edges with an xacto knife.
(On a side note, I bought stardream paper from Paper Source that was advertised as 26x20, and even has a sticker on it that says 26x20, but after I cut several pieces of paper, I realized (after much frustration) that the paper was actually 28x20!).
Do you have any teacher friends? Schools usually have big paper cutters. Maybe you can visit one day after school.
Thanks for the input! Although I am a teacher, the paper cutters at my school would not have been big enough or sharp enough. I had to stop in Staples to get a fresh blade for my paper cutter and they wanted $1 a sheet. Ummmmm... no. So I went to Kinko's and they let me use theirs for free. With a friend helping it didn't take too long. Now I've got to draw, cut and glue the pockets!
Staples doesn't charge $1 per sheet. It's $1 per cut, and they can cut 100 sheets at once. And they also have paper cutters for customer use; they're just smaller.
The self serve cutters at Staples were too small there. For her to cut it she said she would have to do it one sheet at a time for a dollar a sheet. She said they couldn't cut more then one at a time. I would have gone for 1 dollar a cut!

I have some big sheets of paper 20x26 that I want to cut down for pocketfolds, but I really don't want to break out the yardstick. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Kinkos? Staples? How much will it cost per cut? How many sheets can they cut at once?
