We are doing DIY pocketfold invites.  We had Staples cut the paper for our inserts a few weeks ago.  I didn't realize until just now (when I went to start printing the inserts) what a horrible job they did.  The inserts are totally uneven.  They range from 1/8" too narrow to 1/16" too wide.

Before buying new paper and getting it re-cut somewhere else, I'd like to try to salvage what we have.  Do you ladies have any tips for what implements/tools work best to trim paper?  I have a basic small guillotine cutter designed for scrapbooking, but most of my inserts are too long to use with it.  I guess we could go use the guillotine cutter that they have at Office Depot....  This is going to take forever.  Ugh...I'm so mad.  What a waste of time and money.

I'd take them back and tell them what was wrong. With that much of an error range, it sounds like they were cutting too many sheets at once.

Yep. I'd go demand your money back, and use that money to buy new paper. Use the old paper for other stuff.

    Good luck!

I would definately go there and have them redo it and tell them what a crappy job they did.  You shouldnt have to pay for someone else's mistakes.

Worse case scenario, if they say no, get a different paper cutter, one with a slide blade, i think they are much more easy to handle than the guillotine cutters.  You can trim all the inserts down yourself to the smallest size you need to until they are all even.  But before doing all that work, so there and demand they redo them.  Go straight to the manager
