My youngest niece (who is 9) came over for a slumber party yesterday and we decided to try to make some paper flowers! Clearly, these were my first attempt so you can see the dried glue, and they’re messy, and I used the wrong type of paper for the blue ones so it was too thick to fold properly BUT it gave me a great idea! I was thinking of using them in the centerpieces (we’re doing a non-formal outdoors picnic type reception), just not entirely sure how just yet, for now I stuck them all in a juice glass. The top flowers are in kind of a ball all glued to one stick, the bottom ones are loose / each have their own stem.
The paper roses (the black and white ones) are the trickiest and probably most expensive to make, so if I used those it would probably be only for my bouquet and / or maybe the toss bouquets (I’m having a few tied with ribbons all tossed at the same time to all the ladies with fun fortunes on them, idea stolen from the Bee blogs LOL). I really like how these look like actual roses though! Anyway, tell me what you think!!
*be kind, they’re my first try LOL*
The paper I would use would be more like these:
And the paper roses; I would (obviously) use matching paper…for now these will go in my den where they match the decor 🙂
