    I’ve never made paper flowers before but I think done well it could look fantastic!

    Cost effective? Erm….. sure, but I think it would take a LOT of time depending on how elaborate you want the flowers to be. Also, I would be worried about storing them without them getting crushed or dusty or whatever until the big day.

    I think this could be pretty

    I personally would leave the fake leaf off. 🙂

    @XWeddBlissX: Ooooh those look like beautiful dahlias! Mmmm I will check craftster and see. A great resource for DIY stuff.

    here’s what I have found

    http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/photogallery/paper-and-fabric-flowers#slide_1

    there are 33 slides to look through so not all will apply. Some of the flowers would work for what you are looking for if perhaps tweaked slightly. Made bigger, smaller, whatever.

    I think that should be a good start. You can always vary the petals to different shapes. I noticed a few of the flowers in the bouquet you pictured had rather wispy ends, which I think could be figured out. Good luck!

    I’m making crepe paper roses for my centerpieces!!

    They take quite awhile to make, but it’s saving me money and they are turning out so pretty!

    @XWeddBlissX: Oh you’re welcome!

    Yeah! That’s what I would want to use paper roses for. Make a whole bunch of smaller ones in place of confetti and such. A kind of decorative filler if that makes sense. I think it’s a very pretty idea.

    I love these! I want to do them for my aisle runners. Of course I’m going to do some research to see what the cost is vs real flowers.

    @Tunacupcakes: Haha, I’ve tried! I finally talked my FH into helping curl the petals, but that’s about it. We moved 2 hours away from home, so it is kinda hard to get help. I normally put on a movie and go at ’em.. I’m about halfway there!
