    Hello,

I am wondering what the quality of Paper Source paper is like. Again, I live in Canada so I don't have access to the actual store. I am asking because the prices that Paper Source quotes are MUCH lower than any other store or online store I have found (and I have found many). Is this a case of a really good deal, or "you get what you pay for"?

    Thanks!

I was happy with the Paper Source products I bought.  The only problem was my crappy home printer, otherwise it was great money spent.

I also have loved the quality at Paper Source.  The only thing I didn't care for was the "Stardream" paper, but I know lots of people use it, so I think it's just a matter of personal preference.  We used their envelopes, vellum, and wrapping paper and were happy with all of them.  We bought our card stock at Paper Zone, which was cheaper!

    What exactly is Stardream paper?

Stardream is a sparkly metalicized paper.

Here is a discussion about it:

It really depends on your threshold and expectations. If you are familiar with the nuances of paper quality and art paper, etc, and already have an ideal level of paper quality in your mind, then I'd recommend making an initial small order from Paper Source to see for yourself. I prefer heavier stuff, so I find PS too thin. But, a lot of people like PS just fine.

Maybe someone should post a survey on where DIY bees buy their paper.

I loved my paper - even my stardream paper. But then again, I only used the Stardream as background paper and inner envelopes.

I actually thought paper source was expensive! I liked the quality, we used the paper & envelopes for our entire suite.

I agree that Paper-Source is expensive and I wouldn't consider using them for all of my paper needs, but I am seriously considering splurging on their european flap envelopes since I haven't been able to find anybody else who sells them in such an array of colors!

I can't vouch too much for their quality, I've only ordered the envelopes (which I love, LOVE, if you couldn't tell) which seemed to be good quality.

    :)

I love Paper Source- definitely great quality paper!  And I disagree with previos posters - I used their Stardram Quartz square cards and envelopes, and had no problem printing.  It is very pretty, creme colored paper with subtle shimmer.

Paper Source is pretty pricey but I got an email from them that they are offering 20% off everything off their website, including sale items! I love their quality too!

Use code: 20OFF...it's valid until July 4th!

Paper Source is pretty great. We did our invites through them and I was really impressed.

I bought Paper Source envelopes for our STDs and invites.  As far as envelopes go, they come in fun colors and are of good quality.

    Thanks for all the responses!

I am surprised that you are saying Paper Source is expensive! Perhaps the exchange rate is confusing me a bit, but the cheapest I have found paper here is $0.50 per sheet. (That doesn't include sketchy online stores which I would not feel comfortable buying paper from).

I hope I get an answer from Paper Source about the shipping to Canada before July 4, so that I can use that 20OFF coupon if I decide to go with them!

Anyone know what the shipping prices are like?

I just made a HUGE order from Paper Source (I am definitely a Paper Source fan) with my 20% off. My shipping was about $15 for an order of about $200. I'm not sure what the Canada prices would be though. But with the weight of all the paper I ordered, I think that's a good price for shipping!

Oh, P.S. I am a HUGE fan of their European envelopes. And if you are into lining envelopes, I would suggest purchasing their envelope liner template kit (if you aplan on using their envelopes for the majority of your occasions). They sell envelope liners but they are MUCH more expensive than making your own if you have the kit!
