@elleandish:  Oh my gosh, that bouquet is adorable!

My advice would be to keep shopping around! Even though a paper/fabric bouquet will last you a long time (and you don’t have to pay to preserve it), creeping up near $300.00 is a bit much for me. But then again, I am a huge cheapskate hahaha. Do you have any particularly crafty friends that could make you one similar to it as your wedding gift?

@elleandish: Hahaha, I totally understand! Finding that balance is hard, especially when the whole wedding industry costs so much! And it is THE WORST when you sink time and money into a DIY and you’re not happy with the results.

Do you have a wholesale flower market near you? Maybe even go to the grocery store and play around with the fresh flowers – you can save some money doing your own fresh flower bouquet, but it may be super stressful doing them a few days before the wedding. Or, just keep shopping around on Etsy! There is legit no end to the amount of wedding stuff they sell there haha.

@elleandish:  that’s pricey!! You could definitely get a bouquet from a florist for less- even in SF! I would go the wholesale route, but that’s what I am doing, so I may be biased. 🙂

I have fabric flowers with brooches and they cost me more than real flowers but I love them so much and even better they will last forever!

I did all paper flower bouquets and bouts. They look awesome and are stored away for the big day. 🙂

oh my gosh at that price, you HAVE TO DIY!

I had a brooch bouquet so I can’t speak on how much bridal bouquets should cost but I DIY’ed my flowers for less than $300 by ordering from Costco!

I have simple taste and we had a nautical wedding so there were elements that were more important to me than flowers so we just used hydrangea for the maids and the centerpieces, but I haaaate overspending so I was glad!
