I would definitely be thinking that a proposal might be coming sooner, but maybe he is just planning something else special. Just enjoy your time together and relax (if that is possible!)
I definitely feel you on wanting to lose weight - we've been engaged since March and still haven't done e-pics because I'm not comfortable enough with my body for those yet and we're planning to do them this coming September for our 5-year anniversary. But honestly, I think you'll find that you really won't be thinking about your weight issues when you get engaged because of how happy and joyous a moment it is!

Ok…. this may be a bit long - sorry!
This is driving me mad & I can't talk to anyone about it so hopefully you guys will tell me what you think.
Back in October last year my SO and I started talking about getting engaged. The problem has always been money as my SO had no idea how much e-rings were. Anyway, we were told we were coming into a bit of money at the end of January and he said that he'd like to spend it on our engagement!
Over Christmas we went to see a few rings and I picked out the one I liked. He ordered the ring, paying a big deposit which is due to be delivered at the end of January when he pays the rest.
My SO & I are wedding photographers and it's difficult to know when to take time off in the summer months as I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity of getting work. Due to this, my SO sent me a "Save the Date" card in order the keep the engagement date free - the 4th & 5th August 2012.
OK, this is the problem….
Earlier this year my SO put a date in the diary at the end of March to go on a walk to a place that it very sentimental to us. I thought this was a bit strange at the time but didn't really think much of it. Also, when we get the money through, he is adamant he wants to get deposits put down straight away for the engagement weekend (even though it's 7 months away!).
Over this weekend just gone I said that I'd been reading a website telling you what to do after you get engaged that said to make sure you leave time to visit family to tell them the good news in person. He's just rang me up in work and asked me to take a few days off after the weekend in March as he's got holidays to use up before April.
Another few things… I said to him that I'd like to lose a bit of weight before our engagement weekend, to which he replied "why don't you set yourself a small goal for when we go on our walk in March so it breaks it up and makes it a bit easier for you?"
Now I'm not sure if I'm just being paranoid or whether it's wishful thinking and I know that I won't really know the answer until March but can any of you let me know what you think or even if you've been through the same thing yourself!
