We are having an outdoor ceremony in August, in a pretty temperate area, but it can still get warm. There isn’t all that much shade at teh ceremony site, so I want to get parasols for the guests. I’m thinking about 40 for the ~100 guests. Do you think that’s enough?
Also I’m having trouble finding ones I like that are affordable. Ideally I’d love to spend less than $250 total on this. Anyone know of a good place to get them? We’re thinking light peach yellow, cream colors. thank you guys! you’re the best.

From what I can tell, parasols are quite expensive. You might be able to get them a tad bit cheaper by going with a paper ones.
Parasols really aren’t all that big though.. I would think you’d need more than 40 for 100 guests.

I considered this, but thought the expense outweighed the necessity. Instead, we’re having a bucket of ice with bottles of water available at the ceremony site. Further, our ceremony won’t be more than 15 minutes long, so people will only be in the sun for about 30 minutes.

@jenilynevette: yes, we would definitely be going for the paper ones. but maybe you’re right that we would need more than 40.
@peachacid: having water available is genius!
