- Wedding: December 2013
My parents had their 35th wedding anniversary this year. My mom (on more than one occasion) has expressed wanting to do a special dance with my dad or a special married peoples’ dance and at least have the DJ say something about how they celebrated their anniversary this year. I want to honor her request, but I also need to be respectful because my fiance’s grandfather past away in August. His grandmother is mourning his death, and I don’t want to do anything that specifically calls married people onto the dance floor. I talked to my fiance’s mom and she told me she doesn’t like the idea because my fiance’s grandmother will be alone and wont be able to dance. She could potentially be upset and maybe cry?? …not something you want at your wedding. My fiance’s mom even said “dont be offended if I don’t go out and dance.” Does anyone have an ideas for different types of parents dances or married people dances?
