We are hoping to do a joint father/daughter, mother/son dance before our first dance. My fiancé likes the idea of dancing with our families and then dancing together as a our new family. Also, we are doing a slow song that gets dancy and will have people join in at the end and we’d like to get the dance party started from then. Our thoughts are:
1) As soon as we are announced we dance immediately with our parents. Then after dinner and speeches we have our first dance.
2) We wait for all dancing until after dinner. Then basically our parents can swing us out to each other and well dance our first dance
Any other ideas? Is it strange to do the parents dance before ours? My thought to not to it right after would be to have a decent amount of dancing before the parents dance.
