i just came on to get ideas myself! so i figured i would at least bump your post.
my only thought so far was for my dad...i was thinking of getting a zippo lighter with his initials engraved on it and a box of cigars...even though i know nothing about cigars!
moms, maybe nice jewelry for the day of? not totally sure on that cuz what if they don't like what i get? his dad, i have no idea!
i think since the parent albums would be a good bit after the wedding anyway that will be their christmas gift. so i want something for them to open up that day. our friends i know gave his parents a gift card to a restaurant and her favorite ice cream place down the shore. so gift cards for some place they like is good too.
i would love some different/creative ideas myself too!
We are having the same problem, and here is our solution: We're getting one of our engagement photos nicely framed, and that will be our gift to each set of parents at the rehearsal dinner. We will also include a nice card with a note that their *real* thank you gift (small wedding albums) will be given to them after the wedding.
We are doing photos for Christmas this year - nice albums for everyone.. so I didn't want to do anything photo related for the "thank you" gift.
So what we did was find really cool wine glasses. Got two of each, a bottle of our favorite wine & a bottle stopper & we are putting them in a box w/ a thank you note.
My mom will be getting something a little extra for all the help planning!
Thanks for the posts.
So far I got a handmade hankie made for my dad (from etsy) that says "Today a bride, tomorrow a wife, always your daughter" with my name and date.
I also got one for my future mother in law. Said something like "Thank you for raising the man of my dreams, from your newest daugheter" and the name and date. They were cheap and personal.
Im doing the black/white damask theme and my mom and I are doing a lot of projects with it. So I ordered her a cute tote in damask that says "Mother of the Bride".
Thats it so far...still trying to think of other ideas!
I am putting together a frame that says "family" and has two spots for photos. One spot I will fill with a hand written thank you note on paper that matches our colors. The other spot I will fill with a couples photo of us. I will also get a small bouquet of flowers or edible arrangement.

Can anyone offer ideas for gifts that I can give to my parents and my fiance's parents at the rehearsal??? We ordered photobooks for them, but want something to give to them before the wedding.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)
