we went with these charm necklaces (http://www.helenficalora.com/pg_Charm_Mom.asp) for the moms and a pair of engraved cufflinks from Tiffany's for dad. we were close to the getting digital pictures frames and then uploading pictures fromt the wedding, but thought these were a little more sentimental.
We're giving his parents a movie basket (gift certificates to the movies, DVDs, popcorn and candy) and my parents a weekend getaway in NYC (they're paying for the wedding).
We gave each of our parents a crystal picture frame (Miller Rogaska from Bloomies). Later, we sent a wedding photo (bride, groom, respective parents) to complete the gift. They loved them as it was something they probably would have done on their own anyway.
We gave both parents a nice sterling 8x10 frame. To my parents (who threw the wedding) we also gave a very nice bottle of wine and a framed gift version of our kethubah art.
Our package with our photographer included parents books, so we didn't really feel like these could be the gifts :)
We're thinking of getting personalized jewelry boxes for our moms with one of their wedding pictures on the lid. As for the dads, not sure - his dad is into electronics while my dad is into tools and golf. So...I don't know. Personalized letters to each parent letting them know how much they mean to us.
I am getting my parents a night at a beautiful bed and breakfast. (They paid for the wedding). I will also be doing parent photobooks from our photographer.
We're just renewing our vows, but my mom and my aunt are going to help with a lot of my DIY stuff and plan on helping me cook the Goodbye Brunch (I used to cook for a living and still caterer, but I know I won't want to do it the morning after by myself), so I'm planning on sending them to the spa for the day when we get home.

What do you guys think are some good ideas for a wedding gift to give your parents to say thank you? I'm leaning towards the professional wedding album, but curious what else you guys think is appropriate or sentimental, or more creative.... thanks!
