Weddingbee boards

Hey guys, I'd love some prayers (if that's your style) or positive energy tonight. My parents just got a bill for $5,000 from our dentist and we don't really know what it's for. The dentist had promised us (by verbal communication - no written contract or whatever) that he would do work for us and only charge us what the insurance covers (basically free for us), but we're worried that this means that he's gone back on his word / there's a problem with the insurance / something else bad. it's possible that it was a mistake that can be easily fixed when we go in on Monday to talk to him, but if not, my dad has basically said that he will cancel my wedding to pay for it all. He was being very gracious by offering to pay for the venue and food and such, and if he pulls that money, I'll have to try and make the whole wedding work on just the money I had personally budgeted for the photographer and other small things. I know we can do a simple, courthouse wedding or something and we'd still be married, and I don't want to expect anything from my parents that they're not able to pay, but I would really love to be able to have this wedding as planned. Thanks so much! I think it's a mistake, but apparently I'm much more optimistic than my parents - they're still freaking out and going over every possible scenario. I say chill out and wait until Monday since we can't do anything about it until then anyway, but it's not working.
