There’s probably alot my parents don’t know, as we’re aren’t really close.

When I turned 21, my friends pretty much kidnapped me and drove all of us to Vegas, where we had a week long party. I’ve never told my mom about it, I have no idea if she’d care or not.

Other than that, I don’t think there’s anything I’ve hid from them.

@BrideofGroomzilla:  My older sister and I wrote Harry Potter fanfiction online for a couple of years. As far as I know, my parents never found out.

i don’t but my brother has his nipples pierced and a tattoo.

about 5 years ago, my mother saw the piercings when he accidentally changed his shirt in front of her.

then this weekend she finally saw the tattoo.  my brother was in the hospital.  my mom called me to tell me she saw it.  i asked her if she liked it.  she said, as artwork it is very nice.

ETA: my mom knew about both, she just had never seen them so denied to herself that they were there.  overall, she really didn’t care.

@LoggerHead91207:  i chuckled when i read yours.  did you write pornographic harry potter?

my mom got me into reading Queer as Folk fanfic when I started watching the show after her.  one day i was inspired to write my own story.  my mom was my editor and helped me write the second sex scene because i wanted a different voice…

@BrideofGroomzilla:  I got an underaged drinking citation when I was 19. I was on university campus, so they sent a letter home to my parents to notify them. Luckily I still lived at home so I intercepted the letter before they could read it.

I had to do some AA type classes (3 total I think) on saturday mornings, so I told them I was always getting breakfast with friends or had to be up early to work on a project for school!

@ajillity81:  LOL! No, not even close. We looked at it as a way to fine tune our writing skills. We focused on the era of Harry’s parents and when they were going to Hogwarts. There was romance included, but we rarely made that the central plot. We kept it hidden because we didn’t think our parents would approve of us getting to know people online that way (we had a group of friends on Quizilla and hpff.com that also wrote fanfic) – I was about 15 when I started writing and my sister was closer to 19 (she’s 2 years older), so we were still reliant on our parents for basic needs.

@BrideofGroomzilla:  nah. My mom is gone and my dad, sister and I are really close. Any secrets we had been keeping have been hilariously confessed at this point. Like a couple years ago when we admitted that we told my parents I was chaperoning a retreat that my sister was attending…. But really we went on a cruise with twenty if my drunkest friends. Dad was impressed.
