My photographer, Sarah Dawson, is re-locating to Paris. She shot a lot of wonderful engagement sessions in Paris in the past few years.

Yay, I actually can contribute to this!  Our engagement shoot was done by Juliane Berry.  She works in Los Angeles (is American, speaks english), but lives and works most of the time in Paris with her french husband.

LOVED her work.  She is also really nice and easy to work with.

@chica95110:  I checked out your previous post, I honestly find those sites a little useless and dated. First site has ZERO wedding photographers from Canada, 3 from the states none of which I’ve heard of. PPA I’m familiar with, and I know a lot of the older photographers use it, but I searched for about 40 awesome photographers who have been named top 10, that sort of thing and only ONE was listed. The last website was equally as useless as the first, had 9 photographers listed for Canada, none of which I’ve ever heard of. I would recommend this site Fearless Wedding Photographers over those three (and no, I’m not listed on it :p haha)

@sillygoat:  I don’t know who you are and if you do photography or not, so I don’t know what your motive is.  But, I disagree with you.  Some of the best photograhers are connected with the sites listed.  Rather a person has heard of certain photographers means very little.  What means something is if the photographer is good or not.  Even the assistants are well connected by their own rights that are connected to those sites listed.  But, if your a photographer you would already know that.  Some of those sites have been around a very long time and are highly respected within the industry.  If those sites don’t do it for you I’m sure you can find a photographer other ways and go by reading on line rating systems – good luck with that.

@chica95110:  I’m just saying, the title of the thread is ‘How to find the greatest wedding photographers in universe’, and yet two of the websites have barely any wedding photographers. This is a wedding board, so I don’t think the sites are of much help.

Adagion Studios is located primiarly in the US, but their primary photographer Cengiz does tons of amazing Paris engagement shoots.  He is so fun and filled with engery and enthusiasm—ESPECIALLY for shooting in Paris.  He doesn’t even call them engagement shoots anymore in Paris, he calls them “engagement adventures.”

You should totally check him out! 🙂

@sillygoat:  Oh wow, lucky you! Her work is so beautiful. When I enquired she mentioned she was based in Paris for part of next year, but I’m not sure for how long…I enquired about May 10th so it might just be for part of the year.

@peonyinparis:  Ya I think she’s just there for a little period of time (like a month or so), I got extremely lucky because I was searching high and low, and couldn’t find anyone I loved in France, but I couldn’t afford to fly someone in.. so my friend Alyda (I posted about in your thread), told me how Samm was in Paris the exact same time as I was.. so I booked her immediately, haha. I love Samm, I’ve heard her talk at conferences and know she’s such a sweet person (not to mention ridiculously talented).
