Hi Ladies! My FI and are beginning to plan our mid-September honeymoon (so far just purchased plane tickets!) to Paris and Rome.
I have been to both cities in the past with family so obviously I did not do any “romantic” dinners or activities. Does anyone have any suggestions of what we should do/eat/see while there? We will be 4 days in each city.

Our wedding photographer recently moved to Paris and she’s got a resource blog for lovers called http://lamourdeparis.com. There are some great romantic recommendations. I went to Paris on our honeymoon and recently for our anniversary, and Stacy Reeves covers a lot of those places. As far as Rome, I went with my husband (BF at the time) and my brothers for only a short time so it was a different vibe. 🙂 My suggestion would be to grab a Rick Steves’ guidebook. I blogged about our two days in Rome a while back, if you want to look! I’m hoping this won’t get me in trouble–I can take the blog links off if you want!

Oh I am so jealous! 🙂 Have you looked into accommodation? We booked ours through airbnb and we stayed at some SERIOUSLY cute apartments!
In Paris we didn’t book any places for dinner, but just wandered around to find somewhere that looked cute. We ate at a few places on Rue Mouffetard – Ivy De Jardin was lovely! I would avoid eating in Monmartre as we found it very touristy and average.
The typical stuff in Paris really – picnic and champagne out the front of the Eiffel tower was fantastic. Even though you get harassed by people trying to sell you things every 2 seconds!
In Rome we stayed in Trastevere and it was a great part of town. Lots of restaurants and not too touristy.
The real romantic thing to do would be the locks of love in Paris or Rome – bring a padlock and seal your love by attaching it to the bridge and throwing the key into the river 🙂
