It might be worth giving them a followup call. The third chalet location (the Lake Chalet on Lake Merritt in Oakland) opened at the end of August, and I know it's been totally insane during its first month. I have no idea if they share staff across locations for events coordination and the like, but can imagine they might. So there's always the possibility that they've been under water for the last few weeks, and a gentle reminder that they haven't followed up with you might get a response. No idea on the pricing, unfortunately, though!
One of my favorite officemates got married there right there in front of the fireplace, followed immediately by a reception -- she had a great experience. Her pictures looked lovely.
Thank you ladies! It just seems like such lovely place. They offer a backyard BBQ reception which is EXACTLY what we want if we have the ceremony in the Wilhelmina Tulip Garden.
hi..i remember one of my favorite photographers did a shoot there, so i digged up the photos for you (http://www.weddingbeepro.com/2009/01/13/jenna-kevin-san-francisco-golden-gate-park-park-chalet-wedding/)
i have dined at beach chalet before and seems like with their menu prices they could do a reception for your price range :D good luck!
I haven't been to a reception there, but my company has had Christmas parties there and the staff and food presentation was lovely. It's a great spot for after work drinks and live music too, so I actually looked into doing our reception there a couple years ago, before we even got engaged. The cost was too much for a buyout for us, although I remember they did have less expensive options for 60 people or less.
This is who I was in contact with, you might want to try him:

Also, if you want to message me your e-mail address, I can forward the info on menus and stuff I got from the Park Chalet. I'm sure the prices are out of date by now, but it should give you an idea of what they offer now.
I'm starting to have hope that this could work out for us! I have been comparing prices between a few bay area venues and having at a family members home and to do everything from the ground up seems like it would cost us more!! Thank you so much for all of the feedback!

Have any of you LOVELY bees hosted a reception at the Park Chalet? What has been your experience with staff and pricing?
We're doing research for our small (60 person) wedding and I sent an inquiry to the events coordinators (via their website) at the beginning of the month and haven't heard anything back!
I don't want to spend more than $50 a person so I'm asking you all if it's worth contacting them one more time.
What do you think?
