If you have such generous brothers who may be able to valet - perhaps you could oh-so-nicely ask them to run a carpool where they just escorte guests back and forth prior to and after the event?
I see problems with people arriving later than you'd like, or wanting to leave earlier...but yeah it's hard to say. Mt. Vernon is kinda small...good luck!

Okay so I am trying to figure out parking for my wedding and was wondering if any eastern iowa bees had any ideas!
Background: Our wedding/reception is going to be held at the Lodge in the Palisades-Kepler park near Mt. Vernon. For those that haven't been out there, parking is VERY limited. Mt. Vernon is only a couple of miles away so we figured they could probably park there, but how do we get them all out to the park?!?
I really can't afford a charter (I suppose I haven't looked very hard, but really there's not much room! Plus there don't seem to be a ton of these sorts of services since we are talking rural Iowa here! I was thinking about hiring some of my brother's friends to valet, but I am worried that some guests won't allow them to drive their vehicles or have an issue with not being able to park onsite.
So, what would you do? Or what are you planning to do if you are facing the same situation?
