INCREDIBLE venue, dress, pictures, you can truly feel the emotion in the pictures....amazing. Congrats!!!!

The venue is a building run by the freemasons, which apaprently has roots dating back to the ancient Egyptians (explains the random Egyptian paintings in the ceremony room). I fell in love with the building for the ballroom, all the moldings and columns and chandeliers were so amazing.

 @bestbuddies:  Honestly I didn't really have a theme! I just knew I wanted forest green linens and went from there.

@linguo42:  It was probably my husband's favorite part of the reception. It was originally just the Big Daddy figure, but then my mom gave us these wedding Barbie and Ken Christmas ornaments so he felt they'd make the perfect addtion. My mom was a little pissed off when she saw it, but oh well! :)

@AnnieAAA:  Thanks! And I'm not sure...it may have something to do with the lighting in the auditorium where the ceremony was, it was very dark with the occasional spotlight type lighting and I'm sure she had to do some creative editing to the ceremony pics!

Fabulous pictures! What are you nailing shut? Did you do a wine box ceremony?

@FutureMrsTimmins:  Yes! We put wine and the two love letters in there and sealed it in the middle of the ceremony - everyone loved it and how different it was. My husband actually made the box too.

@Booknerd:  It's a building run by the freemasons, it's called the Scottish Rite Library & Museum. The ceremony room is basically a two story auditorium, and the reception room was called the Crystal Ballroom. The whole place was love at first sight!

The wine box ceremony is where you put a bottle wine in the box and then write love letters to each other that you seal and put in the box with the wine. The officiant explained this during the ceremony and then we each hammered two nails into the box during the ceremony to close it up. We're going to open the box on our 10th anniversary and read the letters we wrote to each other and drink the wine. We liked this better than any of the other unity candle, sand, etc ceremonies we'd looked into.

@Booknerd:  Absolutely, if you're in Dallas, I VERY highly recommend it. It's such a beautiful place (and you get a discount if you do have Masonic ties, lucky you!).

 @sugarpea:  Thank you! The cupcakes were one of my favorite parts! We had four flavors and the best by far was the banana one - white cake filled with banana pudding, with banana cream frosting, covered in a candied banana chip and drizzled with chocolate. I kind of want one now!
