Hello ladies. I’m new around here but I decided to ask you for some help. I’m in love with a dress… or at least, with parts of it: the skirt. This skirt:
It’s Risueña, from Rosa Clara’s 2009 collection.
However, I’m not really fond of the top. I’m not (not even nearly) as thin as that girl, and I’m not sure if that model is flattering. I would like somethin with a corset, to keep everything in it’s place 😉
Plus, I would love if it was a strapless sweetheart neckline.
Can you girls help me find a top that would look good with this skirt? I’ve looked around, a lot, but I can’t make up my mind… Help 🙂

have you tried it on? i’m guessing that top has the structure of a corset in it. any seamstress can alter a neckline into a sweetheart.
that girl’s torso is very photoshopped, so don’t worry so much about how it looks on her.

@kitzy: Hi! Thank you for answering. No, I still havent tried it out, but i’ve seen some pictures of it in real girls and it doesn’t seem to have that structure you’re reffering to…

Here are a few Maggie’s that are similar to the dress you like. All of these dresses come with a corset back and as another posted mentioned, almost any dress can be changed to a sweetheart neckline.
The dresses in order:

oh man, this is exactly how i was when i started trying on dresses. i kept finding dresses that i liked part of – but not the whole thing! i agree that you should try it on and see what it looks like on you. so many dresses that i loved in pics looked awful on my body.

@mrs.jk: Hi. Yes, I think it will look awfull on me, because of the top… I’ve seen other brides with it, and unfortunatelly, in my opinion for some the result wasn’t the best 🙁 It doesn’t seem to have that structure inside, tomake it look like wow 😉
But I love it so much 🙂
I was considering having it done in a professional seamstress, including the structure that I want, and the sweetheart neckline. What do you think about that?

you could always just wear a corset under it if the top has no structure

A friend of mine used this dress on her wedding:
It had a sort of a bocide that kept it goodlooking, cofortable and avoided that the dress rinkled, which doen’t look good in the pics.
It’s exactly what I wanted…
I guess I’m gonna think about what to do

@pim: I would just try that dress on. If you like it, add a corset and sweetheart neckline.
