Originally my plan was to remove my sash and add a red bolero to my all white dress, to create a more festive look for the reception.

Then i found this dress....Totally threw that plan out the window and now of course there will have to be new shoes to go with it.

Loving this sexy little number for after the cake is cut etc.

Btw mine is black...anyone else wearing a non wedding dress for the reception?

I was thinking about doing that but I'm not so sure now. I love that dress and I am wearing those shoes for my wedding! They are fabulous!

    Hello!

Yes, I am wearing a different dress half-way through the reception. I am Chinese and so it is tradition that I would switch into various dresses, from the traditional long red n' gold silk dress, to several ball gown type dresses.

Since I don't have a place to rent all the dresses that I need (I live in small town and only big cities have these rental dress stores), I am wearing a burgundy ball gown dress for after the cake cutting :) It's a pretty dress! Here is the link:

Chachacha--- Have you tried the shoes yet? Wondering how comfortable they will be for a long night.

Pearlygrrl--The dress is beautiful. I love the red color!

Derbybride - I have those shoes too and they HURT. I am pretty good about sucking it upand wearing high heels to look pretty, but those shoes are sooo painful. I can't get through an hour in them, let alone wear them all day! The heels is so tiny and the shoe is so high that it is very hard to balance in them and it feels like 100% of my weight is on the ball of my feet. I have twice worn them to parties where I sat most of the time and walked home barefoot both times.

I decided against changing into a different dress for the reception because I thought that it would look terrible not having my wedding dress to dance in when I had the father/daughter dance.  Plus, I was so rushed on the day of the wedding that I barely even had enough time to bustle my dress in between the wedding and the reception, so I couldn't even imagine how long it would take to wear a different dress.  I think I would have regretted not having my wedding dress in many other pictures with guests.  You could wear the black dress for the rehearsal dinner though.  I think it would look beautiful.

That dress is great and those red shows are HOT!  I love it.  If this is what you want to do...go for it!  Different is good.
