I’m trying to decide on whether to have party favors. My FI thinks they are tacky, and waste of money and not earth-friendly since most people throw them away.
Orginally I wanted them but now I am having second thoughts. If I were to do them, I would do blue candy or jelly beans in a clear box. (We are having a mostly white wedding/ with some blu accents. The flowers will be all white, the table is all white and I am starting to wonder if random boxes with blue candy in them will take away from the white affect and look distasteful.
Are you doing without party favors? why/why not? When you go to a wedding do you expect favors? Do you usually keep them or throw them out?

I’m still deciding but I’ll probably go with edible (jelly beans or sixlets) in these small clasp jars (like little spice jars). It’s kind of a nice little jar that I can see most guests using in the kitchen (but…a few single guests using for pot, lol).
I want more color on my tables (black linens) so I’m thinking about using the color of candy to signify the guests entree choice; venue needs me to color code something.

We are going party favors (silver luggage tags). I just think that it is the traditional bride in me that wants to give a gift to my guests to thank them for coming… I do expect a favor when I go to a wedding but I wouldn’t be heartbroken if there wasn’t one.. most of the time I would throw it away anyways.
