My engagement party has a nautical/sailing theme, as Fiance and I met on the sailing team in college. I have decor figured out, but I’m stumped on inexpensive party favors. I’m thinking of just doing little bags of swedish fish, but this seems sort of cheap. I want to keep it under $80 for favors for about 40 people, so $2 or less per favor. Any other ideas? I guess I want it to be inexpensive but not seem like it. I was going to buy the “Boathouse” scent mini-candles from Bath and Body Works, but they’re 3/$10 and I can’t even order more than 25 of them at a time from the website!

@TGold: Rather than look for something nautical which may very well be thrown out, I would stick to the tried and tru- something edible. Your packaging can reflect the nautical theme.
Cute favor boxes in your color tied with a knot
Message in a bottle with jelly beans
Saltwater taffy in a nautical themed bag
Here’s a source for inexpensive bottles

@weddingbound: Ah, why didn’t I think of this?!? I’ll just buy some chocolate molds and make them myself.

@TGold: Yeah they shouldn’t be too hard to make 🙂
