Stalker police: Be careful with the pic you posted. Your names and address are visible (I'm assuming that's your real info) - there are a lot of weirdos out there.
Otherwise, really cute and don't worry about setting any "tone" - it's your wedding and you can do whatever the hell you want!
Maybe you could do a more vintage-looking invite and have the RSVP card be passport-themed? That way you could have purple/silver look you want AND the cute German passport.
Thanks ladies! I just literally ran the card spectrum from frou frou fancy to fun, whimsical yet somehow very relevent. So not what I imagined, but then again, neither is my dress! Need to decide soon!
@reginaphalange: Nope, not my info. It's the sample card. :) LOL @ your second comment! Thanks!!
Zouave, what a great idea! I didn't see any in the sample book but the company seems to be pretty easy to work with.

Hi hive!
So I looked at some invites today. Our wedding is June 30th in Germany, where we live, and about 1/2 of our guests will come from the U.S. (I'm American; fiance is German). It's been a big brouhaha organizing this wedding when my entire support network is in the states. Anywhoo, these invites are super cool. They look like actual German passports on the cover and the paper is very nice quality. You can flip the pages to read the wedding details, and one of the pages is meant to be torn out to send back as the RSVP postcard. I love them but am afraid of it "setting the tone" of the wedding.
I really want a purple and silver vintage-y style, not a travel one. We are getting married in a castle (not the Disney/fairy tale kind; it's more like a mansion). I realize invitations set the tone, etc. etc. so I'm worried it will look like I didn't plan this at all when in fact I have, nearly all by myself, in a country without Targets and Hobby Lobbys (smile). I should also add that we have another option, but they are not unique (I think you can kind of see them in the left corner). I originally was drooling over letterpress but decided we didn't have a budget for it. I'm extremely picky when it comes to stationery (I'm a journalist and I still write my friends real letters and everyone knows this) so it's a little amusing I like these cards so well.
I've read on other boards how important it is to have a theme, and I get it to an extent...but I'm really loving these invites...thoughts?
PS sorry about the photo quality. I took it on my Android.
