I printed my envelopes on my own printer. It was very time consuming, but free :). I just downloaded a pretty font instead of paying $200+ for calligraphy.

Is the design something you might be able to do yourself?  I printed mine on my own printer and then used a stamp and did some embossing to make the envelope pretty (bonus the stamp was in the $1 bin at Michaels!)  FI and I love the way it looks, but honestly, more people have commented about how our response cards are written than the outer envelopes – which I put more work into!

I had my outside envelopes printed but this is because my two options were printed by company or pay a caligrapher. Nether are cheap.

I printed my STD envelopes on my home printer last Decemeber and it was a royal pain in the butt so I didn’t want to even consider that for the invitations.

i had that same choice, in the end I decided to save the money because people are just going to throw them away anyways. But for decoration, i embossed a cake stamp on the envelopes so they werent plain.
