ps. where are you located? we had such a hard time finding a decently priced rabbi.
That's the thing... the rabbis in our area request a specific fee and the pastors don't... it's just whatever you feel like giving... but usually ranges from $100-300. We just spoke to a rabbi tonight and he said that he understands we're poor college students and will work with us on the fees. Maybe we'll just outright pay a reduced rate or maybe pay some now and more later when we're better established.... he didn't give us specifics yet since we're not sure about date or location.

I feel like I've posted a bajillion things lately... week long summer break before summer classes gave me too much time to think wedding!
Our ceremony will be Jewish/Christian, and the going rates for a rabbi are in the $1-2k range from what I've heard, while a pastor might be 10% of that. How would you feel if there was such a disparate gap between the fees? Think the pastor would feel jipped if he found out?
