Nom nom nom. Sounds delish -- and like a really pretty color scheme!
Purple, orange, red and light green are our colors. I loooove purple and orange together!
I think it will blend together just fine. Two pretty colors can be gorgeous together!
Oh my that is such a pretty combination!
I love how the purple is a little dusty - so you could do that type of purple with dusty rose, peach, gold, and cream... oh how lovely!!
the colors you're showing do look nice together... PS: when asking vendors for things in your colros, tho, i'd be carefull calling the dusty-pale purple-ish one "plum," tho, cause to me makes it sounds like a much deeper-richer color. both your colors are kind of pastel. like: peach and pastel plum? (a jewel-tone plum -- which some vendors might misunderstand it to be -- would look all kinds of wrong with a pastel-y peach like you've chosen.)
Absoultely! My friend got married last year and those were her colors. Everything looked great.
I am thinking of the same color scheme, so I think it's a great idea :) Also thinking we might be getting married at the same venue from one of your other posts...Casa?
I still haven't decided yet :( So indecisive. I am definitely going to go with a deep purple, probably an eggplant, but i am still not completely sure about the accent color. i think i'll have my bridesmaids wear eggplant-colored dresses. but i'm leaning towards bolder hues instead of pastels. so right now it's either yellow, an orange or a peach.
i also have had zero luck finding bridesmaid dresses for my bridesmaids since some of them have tight budgets and can only afford about $100 or less. i have a tea-length wrap dress with cap sleeves or straps in mind. any ideas would be great!!
mmm. I don't think a plum/deep purple would be appropriate for a summer wedding--especially it being in the middle of august. I think becuase purple is such a rich color, that would be more appropriate for a December wedding.
Have you thought about perhaps doing a b&w wedding? That is ALWAYS classic! ;)
Very pretty and right now on stylemepretty is a wedding with peaches lying around as the centerpieces amongst flowers. Very pretty. Maybe you can find some inspiration there.
Very nice! I think it works out great and for an August wedding. I actually think the colors are great for that time of year since I think of August as an end of summer/beginning of fall month and those two colors together capture that.
I am using eggplant and dark orange for my fall wedding next month. It's one of those things where your hope it will all look nice when it is all tied together......
katy - I'm using eggplant for my summer wedding! I love deep purple, and it is one of the only colors that will not clash with my venue's teal and plum walls! I'm still trying to come up with an accent color that makes both FI and me happy, but I am loving the eggplant :)
Yes! If you would eat a peach and a plum together (I would!) then why not put the colors together? ;)
go with it, sounds like a good combination, a darker rich color accented with the softness of peach...as a matter of fact I have two friends that's named Peach and Plum...Lol!! They are sisters, isn't that neat!
I think that would be pretty! We are doing eggplant and apple green with some hints of gold. Here are some photos that I used for inspiration. The BM are going ot be ivory and eggplant :)
I love it-- it's easy to find dresses and flowers in eggplant and peach. I may steal your idea :)

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to decide on colors for my August wedding but I am severely color-coordinating challenged. I never know which colors go with what. But I love deep purple and eggplant colors. So I want to incoporate that somehow. But what goes with purple? I don't like yellow or orange. So what about peach? I took two pictures and used MS paint to extract the colors. Does this work? Are the colors too girly? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
