peachsapphiregirl:  I know how you feel. I have just ordered a peach sapphire to be set in rose gold. Waiting for it is driving me crazy. Tracking parcels makes it worse.

My loose sapphire arrived today! Tiny (approx equivalent to 0.5ct of diamond) delicate but perfect colour and clarity. Now I just need to get my jeweller to check it over and to start designing the setting.

peachsapphiregirl:  I love the combination of rose gold with peach/pink colour stones. I originally wanted morgnaite but the stones loose their colour at the size I wanted.

I tend to bash rings around so I wanted something small so it doesn’t get caught as much.

My Stone:

Looks even nicer in real life

Have you thought about wedding bands yet?

My choice of ER is based around my wedding band. I wanted one containing welsh gold to celebrate my heritage. Welsh gold traditionally has a more rosy tint (lots of copper in the alloy) plus I have always loved rose gold and it goes great with my skin tone.

I do want a rose gold eternity ring with sapphires to complete the set in the future. Maybe blue this time.

Katie918:  What colour is your moissy? It looks wonderful with the rose gold.

peachsapphiregirl:  I’ve gone with a very plain ring. I like the idea of it lasting forever and the 3mm band definately will last. It arrived a couple of weeks ago

Welsh gold is just gold mined in Wales. The last of the mines have now closed, some people still pan in rivers for small amounts. The price of pure welsh gold is ridiculusly high. The royal family were given a load and they make all their wedding rings from it now.

Clogau make their jewellery with a small amount mixed in. I know it will be miniscule but I like the idea that its there plus its like me, part welsh.

My ring; the jeweller is keeping it safe for me. (I wouldnt be able to leave it alone if it were here like my sapphire. I keep getting it out to look at it)

peachsapphiregirl:  Keeping it simple with a plain band with side stones. What stones and cut will depend on what our jeweller can find. There seems be be fewer coloured stones round here. Most people want white diamonds or huge gems.
