As a theme, I don't think you should do both. I feel like it would be hard to not go over the top and still use both enough to consider them themes.
You don't have to completely remove one or the other though. If you do damask and then use purple and teal and maybe use a few feathers in your bouquet or bouts that would look cool.
Both of those are very trendy so you have to be careful about looking too kitschy fad.
Thats another issue I'm having. I don't want it to look like I'm trying to be trendy, and I'm also not wanting it to be over the top in any way. I thought about doing a damask cake and then using small hints of damask with few peacock accents in centerpieces and bouquets like you suggested. I just didn't know if it would look like too much was going on, even if done in small amounts. I've seen very few pictures on the internet where both were incorporated, so I'm going back and forth on what I want.
Personally I would not use both. I would go with damask despite my love of peacock.
I think a tone on tone damask with the peacock theme would be very beautiful and very art nouveau
Here are some pictures . . .

We are also using peacock and damask elements in our wedding, but not as a theme. Our invitations are AudreyJeanne's peacocks, the flowers will each have a stem of peacock (not my real flowers) and our cake topper will have a peacock motif. In addition, since our cake is very plain (white rounds) we are adding plum damask ribbon around the bottom of each tier.
I don't get why everyone is fanasinatd by there wedding having a theme..... I don't like the weddings that have too much going on, if you dont pull it off right it looks tacky. don't go over board on either a nice blend could be great! stuble hints of each would work well.
You can totally do both. I saw this on the Ruffled blog months ago and fell in love: http://ruffledblog.com/1930s-art-deco-texas-wedding/
This is too funny I am doing almost the same theme...without a damask theme. I was inspired to do a a purple/teal theme with accents of peacock from this photo. I am having my wedding July next year and I think these colours are very fresh and fun looking! I think including damask it may get too busy but if its subtle you could make it work.

I would love to see more photos with these colours or this theme as well if anyone has some!
My wedding is also June of next year and I am doing this exact thing! Mine is black and white but I'm adding in the peacock... I will have a damask runner on the tables and the card box, flower girl basket, ring bearer pillow, and sign in book are all in damask. I'm being very subtle with the peacock so that it doesn't clash (I just needed some color). My shoes are Johnathan Kayne royal blue heels with a peacock feather, bridesmaids will be in black satin dresses with same shoes, my pew markers are flower balls-making them myself in peacock colors and the colors are elegant and do not clash with the damask (Pinterest). I may add peacock feathers to the centerpieces but I don't thi k it will work.. This is a very hard combo!
Oops, one more thing. Part of my inspiration for the Peacock part was that I wanted color in my wedding, not just black and white, but I've always wanted royal blue or dark (eggplant) purple.. Well low and behold I was in a wedding this year that was royal blue and 2 of my college roommates are getting married next year, I'm in both weddings, and BOTH of their colors are purple...

So, my fiance & I are getting married next June and originally intended on having a theme based around peacock feathers, using either purple or teal as our main color and using the feather to accent. However, we love the look of the damask and want to incorporate it somehow.
Does anyone have any ideas, pictures, or know of anyone who has done anything similar? Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated :) We're wanting it to look really glamourous without looking tacky or over done.
