Oooh, I love peacock - and I feel like I haven't seen it around as much as damask (yet).  I wish I could see your inspiration board - I just posted mine, I hope it doesn't disappear as well! (fingers crossed, lol)

Just read in a new bridal magazine the damask is on it's way out and it's so overdone. It doesn't quite fit me ... but I choose peacock from the two.

I'm biased but I had a peacock themed wedding and it was beautiful. All my girls wore different, rich gem tones. The whole wedding had a very vintage vibe and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

I like the peacock trend, but I'm not really "into" trends.  I also don't like cookie cutter stuff at all (hence my disdain for masters of reception).  I do love the vibrant colors of the peacock feathers.

I like damask also but in smaller doses.  I don't like damask EVERYWHERE as it can imho get too "busy".

i think damask everywhere is too busy but touches of damask with greens and blues and oranges i like (sort of like the pic that is cut off)... i really love the vibrant colors of the peacock... it seems sooo luxurious to me and very very sexy (i dunno why) lol!!!! i have always wanted a black and white wedding i think it's something so classic and formal and i liked the damask or toile twist... to update it..... but it seems not everyone like sit lol!!!! but i suppose the apple green works with the peacock as well as the chocolate satin.... or lime green would be really cool and unexpected too, huh?

I saw the peacock theme about 2 years ago and loved it.  I would have done something similiar had my SIL not beaten me to the Cobalt blue color.  But really I'm glad I've ended up going with the vintage theme.  It just really fits my FI and I better.

I am for simplicity and so damask doesn't really suite my style!

But I love the peacock inspiration! I especially love the invitations on the peacock inspiration board!

Is there a way you can maybe do both?  Like maybe a subtle damask pattern with the linens at your reception and incorporate the peacock feathers into centerpieces, bouquets, etc?

Hiya everyone!! I actually used your votes for a bridal show's tablescape that I did and it turns out the florist used peacock feathers as well!! I'm a bee in waiting and trust your opinions so much on everything else, you-all are a very savvy group of women. I would love to show you the pictures, but I'm not too sure if I'd get in trouble because I have the strange position of being a vendor and a waiting bee to be. lol!! You can PM me and I'd be happy to show you the pictures until I can get an answer to be conundrum (always wanted to use that word!!)

A tablescape is the design of the table with the centerpiece, linens, dinnerware, flatware, etc.... I was asked at the bridal show to show new trends for the spring/summer and fall/winter as well as create a candy buffet.
