HI! I just got married there on 3/26/2011. And yes, I too, did it all myself. The reinforcements showed up the night before. I rented it for Sat and Sun, so we could clean up. the wedding ended up starting late at 5pm on Saturday.
@IslandGyrl:Do you have any pictures you can share so I can have a general Idea on the set up I went and played around with the space but still not sure where to set up the buffet station.Any pictures or suggestions you have will be appreciated.
I am getting married there June 12 and am trying to figure out the buffet thing as well..any pics would be awesome..
I am getting married there 9/10/11. We are using a local caterer who has done several weddings and parties there. They said they always set up food in the northwest corner of the room...fartherest corner on the right away from desk. The purpose of setting the food up there is so that you have more tables and people close to the windows where are. I am going sometime in June to try different set-up options. If you ask they will let you have the key for two hours during the day during the week if there are no events for that day so you can try different things. Other than that, search PBC pics...there are TONS on the internet ad even on this site. Hope this helps! :-)

Okay ladies...I got married at Pelican June 11th, 2011. After a year of stress about how to decorate the place it ALL came together perfectly. Once everything was set up the place didn't seem as small as it felt when we did our walk through..lol heres a few pics of how we set up..hope it can help some of yall...feel free to email me with any questions..



Your wedding is gorgeous and I love the pics! That is exactly what I want to do with the space in October!!! You made great use of the rectangle tables too. Are you willing to sell your blue lanterns or anything else from your wedding? That blue is exactly my shade!
@ Tiffyb24...I gave the lanterns away to my nieces but I got them dirt cheap from either orientaltrading.com or asianideas.com...let me know if I can help..
Wow...great pics! I love the table set-up. How many tables total did you set-up? It looks like 8 with 8 at each one but I can't be sure. I am sending out invitations this week and am HOPING we don't have more than about 50 people. We shall see!
Your decorations are beautiful! I am getting married there in November and thought about using paper lanterns. How did you hang them from the ceiling, and how big are they? 12 inch?

@simple: Hi, I'm helping my son and his fiance plan their PBC wedding Sept 2012. How did you hang the lanterns? Did you use command strips? I was wanting to do lanterns as well. :)

I see that there are a few weddings taking place at the PBC does any one have any pics of weddings held here I am looking for ideas on how to set up the space.I would like the ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour on deck,reception inside. I am having 40-50 guest and dont know how to set up tables or what kind of decorations that are allowed.please share any suggetions or pics you may have.
