I looked at pelican and it looks nice Im also planning a wedding here in florida something beachy
@Kristina1059:I am having my wedding there in August 2011,I live in Orlando so I was having the same problem with finding vendors I am getting my cake from Enchanted cakes of brevard,and I am looking into using Two chicks and a pot for the catering they have come highly recommended as for everything else I am still trying to pull it together.
@Mrs.Costa 92711: I was planning on going with Two chicks and a pot too. I contacted Beth a few months ago and she's said she's "penciled" me in but when I tried to get our menu and costing done, she's nowhere to be found!!! I'm having a difficult time getting in touch with her. I'm also planning this from Canada so it's been even harder. Have you had any issues with contacting them?
@yrwedding:So far I haven't had any problem they responded pretty quickly to my email however I did call on friday and got no answer I left a message I was going to wait til monday to see if they return my call.Try sending a email they might respond back faster that way.
@Mrs.Costa 92711: ya, I've tried emailing her a couple of times and even sent an inquiry through her website. how far along are you with planning your menu? i was wondering if she's ignoring me because my wedding is still not for another 5-6 months and her priority would be the weddings in the summer?? but still, i would expect at least an email response letting me know she's received my emails and voice messages. but thanks for letting me know.

I have seen a few posts about 2 chicks and a pot and from what I've seen they seem to be VERY reasonably priced! I am personally using Creative Catering by the Farinas. They came HIGHLY recommended by so many people it was hard NOT to go with them. They are a little higher in cost than some of the other places we checked into BUT for what they offer I am totally satisfied! Basically...they come in, set the food up, made sure everything is kept hot/cold, etc and then tear everything to do with the food down PLUS they match your colors. Like I said...they same so highly recommended by so many people I felt it was the best route to go.
Good luck with your wedding and reception! I am going in 2 weeks to do a "trial-run" at the PBC and see how I want to set up tables, etc. I plan on taking pics of what I come up with as far as table positioning so I know where everything goes "day of". My wedding is very much a DIY affair! :-)

I'm new here but am also planning on using PBC as my reception venue. I'm on a budget of NO MORE than $10K. We live in St Louis MO but the family is all there. I'm using John Michael Events based out of Orlando as my caterer--but they do so much more. Beautiful linens, they make the cake (just had to supply them a photo of what I wanted), Chivari chairs, anything you want to eat, and the communication is amazing. I'll email him and he'll email me back almost instantly. He's pointed me in inexpensive directions for other vendors, even letting me pick things up from him to bring back to PBC before their contract begins so I can set it up exactly as I like it.
Please email me if you need diagrams or interior pics of PBC.
I'm doing pretty much everything DIY. Flowers bulk from Sam's. Floating candles from Hobby Lobby. Sting Lights.
Please let me know what your thoughts are as I'd love input and any help. Thanks Bees!

I was just wondering if anyone on here has already had their wedding here or been to one that was held here and has pictures?
I have seen the pictures of the inside and outside, but I am just wondering what it would look like after everything is set up and etc. Where someone had all the different tables from guests to bride/groom to food location, where the DJ was placed, dance floor/area, how they decorated the place and their tables, etc.
This location is cute and price is certainly right... but when I try to sit down and picture where everything would go and what it would look like in the end, my mind becomes a blank.
Also, what vendors did you use? (or are going to use if your wedding hasn't came yet) What were their fees and such?
Thanks so much. I live in Apopka which is about an hour and 40 minutes from the clubhouse so I have no clue what vendors are in that area.
