Here's a little mindless bit of wedding talk to get us all through Hump Day... I was reading Miss Mary Jane's latest post and was really struck by the picture of Mr. and Mrs. Obama doing the fist-bump. Now, while I respect my president, I'm definitely not the biggest fan of his politics, but I have to say that the relationship that he and his wife share is just so sweet (or at least it seems so to the public). I love the way Michelle is looking at her husband in that pic, and I so admire the way that she has been such a huge support to him and yet still her own woman, whether that's in a career or just being a good mom.

It got me thinking about other celebrity weddings and marriages... you may not be a fan of the people, but sometimes there are love stories or gorgeous weddings that you just can't ignore. My top few would have to be:

Both of Prince Charles's weddings -- The Princess Di wedding was classic fairy tale, but I thought Camilla had a really dignified and beautiful encore bride look. And a kick-butt hat. No comment on the relationships involved in this mess. :)

Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes -- Tom Cruise bugs the ever-lovin' snot out of me, but their wedding was so pretty. I loved Katie's dress.

Pink -- I'm so-so on her, but her dress also can only be described with the words kick-butt.

Marcia Cross -- I am not even sure who this woman is (Desperate Housewives? I'm so out of touch) but I saw her wedding pics in some magazine and I loved her red hair and her beautiful long long long lace veil (it was either chapel or cathedral, can't remember).

Nicole Kidman -- I'm eh on her, but I loved the fact that she and her husband gave away Foster's beer to all the well-wishers in the street outside the church. That was pretty cool.

    So, anybody else?

    BUMP!

I loved that photo of Jennifer Anniston and Brad Pitt, the black and white one.  He looked a little less.. douchey then, and they both looked so happy.  :-P

I just saw Alyssa Milano's wedding pics... GAH do I dislike her, but she looked so... human at her wedding!!!! GORGEOUS and just glowing and her and her husband looked so blissful. I guess he brings something out in her! Love this topic.
