I like your first and third ideas because they are gifts that will probably last a lifetime. An electronic is only cool till the next thing comes along.
I personally got the engraved watch for my FI because he loves them and it's something he can use everyday. The Cufflinks are going to be given to him from his father. Hmmm my FI with an Ipad, he's not that kind of guy, he wouldn't know what to do with that thing lol
I agree with watch.
Maybe you could look into a vintage watch? If you're looking for something different...

My FI doesn't wear watches or cuff links so I went with a dog tag with my fingerprint and our wedding date on it.
My husband and I are nerds so I'm getting him a Doctor Who inspired engraved pocket watch and a set of batman cufflinks.
@couawilou: I thought about Boudoir pics, I just have to find the right photographer for that.
@cameronwedding: if you lived here, I would recommend you my MOH, she's a photographer and she does amaizing work, she'll be doing mine.
