I’ve only ever worn “sporty” perfumes. Fresh, light, everyday scents (D&G Light Blue being my fave). I didn’t have anything I thought was ‘special’ enough for my wedding so I went out on a search. Thank you Sephora for giving out samples so I didn’t waste hundreds of dollars on perfumes I ended up hating. I had almost given up when I came across this blog…enter Miss Dior Cherie L’eau.
I wasn’t too hopeful because I hate Miss Dior Cherie…and wasn’t sure L’eau would be so different. The blogger described her quest for reunion perfume as this:
“So I guess what I’m trying to say is I want to convey sexy, but faithful, familiar but edgy. I want my perfume to say yes you know me, but I’ve been in the UK for three months and I’m my own woman, and i have edge, and vim and vigour. I’m looking for vulnerability, but only with regards to him – it needs to also say self assured. You know?”
And I thought YES! THAT’s what I want my wedding day perfume to say! haha. I immediately headed back to Sephora and got my little tester vile. After 3 days of wearing it I’m hooked. The staying power is phenomenal (unlike my almost wedding day perfume Bouquet by Vera Wang that was gone after an hour) and I love how softly it settles. It seems a little more special but still gives me the fresh/clean/light I seek in my sporty scents. My sexy but faithful, familiar yet edgy perfect perfume.
Just wanted to share incase you’re feeling overwhelmed by the scent search like I was!
