Do you track ovulation? It’s possible you ovulate a couple days late therefore your period will be delayed. Unless you’ve confirmed ovulation there’s no way to know when your period will actually show up.

Kslim13 :  It’s completely possible you ovulated later than you thought. I would wait a week and test again! If not a week, a minimum of 4 days. Tests are expensive!

If you didn’t confirm O then there’s no way to know if your period is late. Last month you thought your period was late as well so I wouldn’t really base it on what usually happens. I know it’s hard to temp, I absolutely hate temping. Have you tried opks? That would help pinpoint O if temping doesn’t work out.

FWIW my sleep habits were super bad and temping still worked for me.

Kslim13 :  Honestly, my temps are all over the place pre-O. I can’t imagine time of day has as much to do with bbt as much as the amount of sleep you get before you temp (they recommend 3 hours uninterrupted). It might not hurt to try an entire cycle along with OPKs just to see if temps can confirm O date. But if you’re BDing EOD, I think you’ll be safe.

SeaOfLove :  Temping at the same time of day is one of the most important aspects of temping (within 30 mins on either side), but you’re right the 3 hours of consecutive sleep is important too!

Kslim13 :  If you want to give temping another go, why don’t you wake up every day at 6:00 a.m. regardless of your work schedule, take your temperature, then go back to sleep? Assuming you’re going to bed before 3:00 a.m. every night, this should produce accurate results.

Kslim13 :  I took my doctors advice and have been bding every other day, still no luck. I feel like some people are just lucky… We’ve had perfect timing so many times. Although every other day is a lot easier on us.

I dont always take my temp at the same time, but I’m lucky as long as I get 4 hours in a row, my temps don’t vary that much. I can still tell when I O. But opks help and i find they are pretty accurate when comparing with my chart. After a positive OPK I ovulate no more than two days later.

I wish you luck! I know it’s not easy.

I am right there with ya!  I’m a day or two late, but took a dollar store pregnancy test this morning and it came up negative.  It is taking every ounce of control I have to not take a break from work to go get a First Response test right now. Which would probably also be negative a.d a huge waste of money.   Good luck to you

I didn’t get a post til I was 4 days late and then it was SUPER SUPER light. My measurements have been off with scans since and we are still in a questionable stage of if it’s going to work out but just wanted to let you know it can happen.
