We ordered personalized napkins as well. For 100 guests we had 200 beverage and 200 luncheon napkins. They were blue with a silver foil sailboat design that matched our invites.

One tip for those considering this: we didn’t have our names or date printed on them. We ended up with a ton left over, and now we can use them on our boat next summer, or when we host at home over the winter. If we’d gone with names and date on them, we would have ended up tossing what we didn’t use. So my advice would be to skip the names and date so you can still use them without looking silly long after the fact. Our guests really liked the napkins though and it added a nice touch.

We did that too with a monogram. I thought they were so cute.

@asianbarbie:  Those are really cute!

Are you doing linen napkins too? Or just those? Reason I’m asking is because I like the look of personalized napkins, but I also like the look of having the silverware wrapped in linen napkins too. I thought we could have both, but FI pointed out that it would be needless.

@asianbarbie:  My husband is actually rather enthralled with them. I think they may become a permanent fixture on the boat, with us ordering more when these are gone.lol

@asianbarbie:  You can never have too many. We had leftovers too and I use them when we have guests over, kind of fun.

Funny story, I was at a dinner party a few months ago and one of our weddings guests was there. He reached into his suit pocket and felt something, pulled it out and there was a napkin from our wedding! Apparently he doesn’t use his suit much. 😉

Our napkins.
