Just ignore her comments about the hockey game etc.

You could  ask her if there is something she really wants to do-‘not making any promises”.

You can also ask her parents if there is anything in particular they would like to do.

Obviously it depends on the amount of time available and the funding.

Yikes, stressful.  We had a lot of family come to our wedding from overseas.  So it basically came down to telling them when we needed help and the events that were going on, essentially an itinerary so they’d get a hint about what was going on.  But we had over 20 people come who were very excited to be in the US and while we tried to arrange transport and ideas for fun events there were only so many things we could plan.

But they didn’t need to be babysat all the time and everyone was super helpful and it was honestly nice to have them out of our hair at times.  And no one expected us to join them for everything but at the same time they were making a long trip so wanted to make the most of it.

I’m sure she is just saying that because she’s excited to come to the states and has a HUGE list of stuff in her head. At 16, she’s prob. not considering how difficult it is to plan a wedding, and is just considering it a “vacation” for her. I’m sure once she gets over here, she’ll realize it’s a lot more work and she prob. won’t have time to do it. You can always reinforce that if there is time after the wedding and schedules allow, then she can enjoy some of the activities she had planned.
