@Utopia4us:  We do. I like the higher ones that go up half the leg it helps with them staying on and if the breed has a dew claw, the one on the side of the leg, it keeps that in place and doesnt catch on the top of the short booties. We got ours at ruffwear, polar trex.

I am having the same problem this year! They have been fine up until now and even able to get through -40 with no problem, but now even in only -10 they’re crying and lifting paws.

Is there mleting salt being put down where you walk? I think in my case the landscaping place puts down a ton of salt around the condo and it has been burning their pads 🙁

@Utopia4us:  we do!  it doesn’t say what brand they are, but we got them from Petsmart.  they are sort of like socs with velcro closures.  our older dog is OK with them, but she’s pretty mellow.  our little dog likes to try to kick them off, and we are usually lucky to end up with even one on her after a walk!  here’s a picture:

@Utopia4us:  We havent had any issues so far and we use them all the time during the winter with running and playing. We have 4 dogs and havent lost one yet but if you do they allow you to buy them individually for replacements.

We use the PAWS ones that look like balloons. They come in a pack of 12 or 16 (cant remember!) Each set lasts about 3-4 weeks in the winter. Chloe won’t walk without them in the rain, snow or when there’s salt down.

You could also use paw wax – Musher’s Secret. We used it on our dogs when we lived in wintery Boston. They protect the dog’s paw from the salt and the cold. You just wipe some on your dog’s paws before you go out. You can buy it from Amazon etc. Its great because dogs may not like booties on their paws.

yip! we’ve never had a problem with them. Chloe is extremely laid back and patient so when I was learning to quickly put them on I never had a problem but some people say they are difficult. Just make sure you get the right size.. they need to be fairly tight fitting on the leg 🙂
